2026 Society Events 

We are excited to announce our upcoming events for 2026. Please mark your calendars and join us for these special occasions

May 23 – Annual Basket Raffle & Bake Sale

Location: Cultural Centre of St. Faustina, 38 West Church Street, Nanticoke

Highlights: Basket raffle, bake sale, display of new artifacts, maps, and memorabilia, plus a video presentation, many more surprises. 

June 27 – City of Nanticoke – Big Bang 250th Anniversary Celebration.

More Details to come as Nanticoke also Celebrates its 100th anniversary as a city.

July 4 – Wyoming Massacre Memorial Event

Location: The Wyoming Monument, Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort

Details: The Society will participate in this historic commemoration. More information to follow.

August 15 – Pysanky Egg Demonstration

Artist: Stephanie Jennings 

Location: West Side Park – 389 W. Grand Street, Nanticoke

Make 2 eggs 1 guided pattern and 1 of your own pattern. Brief history of pysanky. Pysanky available to purchase

Fee: $40 per person

Extras: Pysanky books available for purchase

September – Annual Society Potluck Picnic

Location: Samantha Mill House, 495 East Main Street, Nanticoke

Details: Bring a Dish to Share - Enjoy delicious food, baked goods, and fun activities. The exact date will be announced soon.

October 24 – Tealeaf Reading Workshop

Location: Samantha Mill House- 495 East Main Street, Nanticoke

Fee: $40 per person

Details: Tealeaf reading workshop. Learn how to read tea leaves. Brief history of Tasseography. Reading your own leaves in a group setting. Taught by Dr. Genel Gronkowski
